Another Fantastic Local Line up of Top Entertainers for 2017.
Nelson Wine and Food Festival has done it again and is set to bring you some Top Entertainment for the 2017 Festival.
A fantastic local line up featuring The Dixie Prix, Paul Madsen & Family (Madsen Promotions), Cruise Control, The Neal Brothers & More.
Paul Madsen & Family - Madsen Promotions
Paul, Janzen, Indyah Madsen team up as a family band to bring you cover classics new and old ...
Paul Madsen has been entertaining audiences around New Zealand and the world for the past 33 years ...with several Las Vegas performances under his belt with the Bee Gees International Tribute show, Paul will be returning to the US with up and coming tours ....
Meanwhile back in NZ with local shows, bringing on Janzen and Indyah was a natural progression, with their strong lead vocals from Paul and Indyah and skilful bass guitar playing and backing harmonies from Janzen ,this act has a natural organic sound ...sure to please ....
The Dixie Prix
Nelsons very own Dixie Prix are bringing their unique brand of bluegrass to the Brightwater Wine and Food festival.
The Prix (pronounced the same as the Prix in Grande Prix) are fastly becoming one of the South Islands most popular Bluegrass bands
You can expect a lot of laughs, searing mandolin solos, infectious foot stomping songs, incredible 3 part harmonies and the odd kazoo solo thrown in as they start in the early 1800's (you won’t believe how well you know songs this old) and coming right through to modern day classics. You won’t be able to stay in your seat as they give these amazing songs their own unique bluegrass twist.
If you've never seen them before don’t miss this opportunity.
Philip Marshall on vocals and guitar, Warren McLew on drums, and Pete Archibald on bass guitar are Cruise Control, a classic cover and rock and roll band. The band has only been together since September 2014, but they have played almost a hundred gigs over that time. People just love dancing to the groove and beat of the band, which has a strong following from various dance clubs in the Nelson and Tasman region. As well as playing 50’s and 60’s rock and roll, you can also hear the songs of Van Morrison, James Taylor, Neil Young, Eagles, Bruce Springsteen, America, Neil Diamond, The Beatles, Elvis Presley, The Rolling Stones, Credence Clearwater Revival and many other great artists from recent times. If you like dancing and singing along to those memorable songs you all know and love, then get along and listen to Cruise Control.
The Neal Brothers
Mitchell and Liam, a couple of local young guys.
When not working or playing rugby and touch, they love to play guitar and perform popular covers we all know.Their Dad is well known Party Rock player Antoni, who no doubt has influenced them in their musical development.
