Nelson Wine & Food Festival celebrates sensational sounds, wine, food, and summer.
Thanks for attending the Nelson Wine and Food Festival 2017 and for liking us on Facebook. We hope you really enjoyed yourself. We had a great day.
The event was coordinated by Rotarian's from the Rotary Club of Richmond. We are a group of people who like to have fun and help out in the community. We help build the cycle-paths, BBQ shelters at Rabbit Island and organise the Wine and Food Festival.
To date we have raised $360,000.00 from the Wine and Food Festival. Proceeds are then donated to community groups like the Rescue Helicopter, Hospice, Womens Refuge, Coastguard, local Fire brigades as well as local sporting groups and schools. In 2018 our main recipient will be The Nelson Hospice, come along and join us in raising money for this worthy cause.
Nelson Wine & Food Festival celebrates sensational sounds, wine, food, and summer. Hold onto your holiday groove, grab a friend and head to the Nelson Wine & Food Festival, for all-day entertainment, fantastic food, and award-winning wine and beer.
Set in a stunning vineyard location, Middle Earth Winery on Bryant Road, the BWFF festival is all about local! This is a family event and NWFF cater for children with non alcoholic drinks, face painting, bouncy castle and much more.

So then, Kramit in a nutshell... Covers band and Original Music as required... "Folk to Funk and everything in between" ...well they have been playing together for the past 15 years. Originally from Southland, now happily based in “Sunny Nelson” NZ! Kramit have been busy (between gigs) recording their new, all original album “Electric Chocolate” (Acoustic Alt-Pop) Whether playing original music or their diverse repertoire as a covers band, sweet harmonies and groovy bass lines drive their sound. For more information on this fantastic Band check out their website here or their Facebook Page Here Looking forward to kicking our heels up with this band.
"Philip Marshall on vocals and guitar, Warren McLew on drums, and Pete Archibald on bass guitar are Cruise Control, a classic cover and rock and roll band. The band has only been together since September 2014, but they have played almost a hundred gigs over that time. People just love dancing to the groove and beat of the band, which has a strong following from various dance clubs in the Nelson and Tasman region.
As well as playing 50’s and 60’s rock and roll, you can also hear the songs of Van Morrison, James Taylor, Neil Young, Eagles, Bruce Springsteen, America, Neil Diamond, The Beatles, Elvis Presley, The Rolling Stones, Credence Clearwater Revival and many other great artists from recent times. If you like dancing and singing along to those memorable songs you all know and love, then get along and listen to Cruise Control."

The Dixie Prix
The Prix (pronounced the same as the Prix in Grande Prix) are fastly becoming one of the South Islands most popular Bluegrass bands
You can expect a lot of laughs, searing mandolin solos, infectious foot stomping songs, incredible harmonies and the odd kazoo solo thrown in as they start in the early 1800's (you won’t believe how well you know songs this old) and coming right through to modern day classics. You won’t be able to stay in your seat as they give these amazing songs their own unique bluegrass twist.
If you've never seen them before don’t miss this opportunity.
Gate Sales $25 includes a Wine or Beer Glass for the event.
